Holidays at Port Stephens

January 24th, 2012 by Trent

We just came back from a week away in Nelson Bay. We stayed at the Mantra Aqua in Port Stephens and had a lovely break.

It was a 3hr drive which we split up half way and the weather was great most days.

We swam in the apartments saltwater pool which was nice and warm – 2 swims a day – pretty good!

We visited a few nice beaches, jumped on the high bungy trampolines, went to some cool playgrounds, visited Dizzyland, Oakvale Farm and bowling.

We met our neighbours for a bistro dinner one night (they were also on holidays the same time as us!) and we invited them over for a swim in our lovely pool.

We had 2 home cooked BBQ’s by the pool and packed lunches and ate breakfast in the room each day – eggs and one day pancakes 🙂

Liam and Demi shared the same room! First time Demi was in a “big girl bed” as she is still in a cot. We promise for her 3rd birthday she can get a bed. Demi and Liam talked a bit too much and mucked around a little getting out of bed but after the first night the novelty slowly wore off.

We were also very lucky to catch the Great Moscow Circus that was in town at Salamander Bay. It was a 2hr show that was once in Rose Bay but we decided not to go back then. Although a little long for the kids they enjoyed it a lot.

Mum got to wear her first ever bikini on the holiday too!

We are now soooo looking forward to our overseas holiday in Fiji in May. We are going to the same hotel again with the same nanny for 10 nights – will be a wonderful break – can’t wait!!
